We would love the opportunity to show our school to prospective parents of children starting school in September 2024.  We can show you and your child around either during the school day or after school. To arrange a tour, please email schooloffice@kingsdown-ringwould.kent.sch.uk or telephone at 01304 373734

At Kingsdown and Ringwould CEP School, we support every individual in becoming the best that God intended them to be, by inspiring them to think, learn and flourish in a nurturing, Christian environment. We value and welcome every community member, as Jesus did, and celebrate all they achieve academically, spiritually and personally.

We believe in the concept of life-long learning and the notion that learning should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience for everyone; it should be fun! Through our teaching, we equip children with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to make informed choices about the important things in their lives. We believe that appropriate teaching and learning experiences help children to lead happy and rewarding lives.

Our school values are:

Communication

Independence

Collaboration

Resilience

Reflection

Kingsdown and Ringwould CEP School is an accredited Thinking School which means that our approach to learning depends on us teaching the children ways to think for themselves in order to get the best from their education. We use a range of elements from the Thinkers Toolbox, such as asking questions which provide the children with opportunities to explore their own ideas and think more deeply. We use philosophical discussion to develop their understanding of the world around them and the problems that  may affect them, right from their entry into Foundation! Children are encouraged to record their learning and thinking using Thinking Maps, which ensure that all children, not just those good at writing, are able to share and celebrate their knowledge across the curriculum. We aim to provide children with skills to think, a talent that they will take into their future.
