To bring in expertise to the children of minority sports including

Expertise in local clubs

Disability sports

Sports highlighted by the change for life team.

Children in the school are accessing sports that have not previously been offered.

Change 4 Life

To establish a child led group that will work on “Healthy Lifestyles” with those children in the school who are currently reluctant participants in PE & Games.

We have identified the children through the school who are currently reluctant participants in PE & Games. From this group we have selected a committee who will work to promote healthy lifestyle choices in the school. The key theme to their work will be to “Eat well and Move More” which ultimately will result in people living longer.

There will be a greater percentage of pupils following healthy lifestyle choices.

There will be a greater awareness around the school of what constitutes a good diet and what activities we can do to keep fit.

Inter School Sports

To fully support Inter School Sport in the Dover and Deal area at both KS1 and KS2.

To continue to fully support all the Triad events for KS1 and KS2 and to enter all the local competitions organised in the area, registering the teams on the “Dover School Games Website”, arranging transport with the parents and working with the children at the events.

To organise regular inter school matches with the other Deal schools.

We continue to enter most of the inter school competitions organised in the area and the children take part in high level competitive sports against other schools.

Intra School Sports

To have 3 intra school events each year for both KS1 and KS2.

The sports leaders will organise vertically grouped teams for KS2 and then organise 3 events throughout the year that all KS 2 children will participate in.

Pete Hygate will organise the KS1 events which will be based around “Multi Skills” activities.

All children in the school will have experienced 3 “Intra School” events during the course of the year.
