WHAT IS THE SEND LOCAL OFFER?
Every local authority must publish a Local Offer. The SEND Local Offer tells you what support is available for children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities, and their families. It should include information about education, health and care provision. It should also tell you about training, employment and independent living for young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
WHAT ARE THE MAINSTREAM CORE STANDARDS?
High quality teaching, differentiated for individual pupils is the first step in responding to pupils who have or may have SEN. The Mainstream Core Standards are a suite of documents that informs and steers our SEN practice.
The Mainstream Core Standards reflect the 4 broad areas of need;
communication and interaction;
cognition and learning; social,
emotional and mental health difficulties;
sensory and/or physical needs.
The documents below are intended to ensure the most appropriate intervention for an individual so that they can make progress both in their well-being and attainment at school, and to evidence our best endeavours.

In recognition of the cost-of-living crisis, please find below a link to a directory of support for families experiencing hardship in these times. This directory of support is produced on behalf of the Local Children’s Partnership Groups (LCPG) to make it easier for families to get the right support, at the right time, and in the right way.
